Manhattanville 1 NYU 0The New York University men's soccer team was defeated 1-0 by Manhattanville College on Saturday afternoon, September 20, at GoValiants.com Field in Purchase, NY.
The Violets (6-1) suffered their first loss of the season, as the Valiants (3-4) were able to sneak one past NYU keeper
Lucas Doucette in the 61st minute. The goal, a header in traffic, came off a well-placed cross from a corner kick.
"We definitely could have played better today," NYU Head Coach
Joe Behan said. "You never like to let a goal in on a corner like that. It was extremely frustrating for all of us. We have to bounce back well from this. We've certainly learned a lot about the areas where we need improvement."
