Women's Tennis Falls to Rochester

Violets Lose 7-2

Wang earned her second victory of the year in singles.

The New York University women's tennis team lost to the University of Rochester 7-2 on Saturday, April 5, in Rochester, NY.

With the loss, the Violets drop to 0-3 on the season while the Northeast Region's #14-ranked Yellowjackets improved to 4-6.

Alison Wang earned a straight-set victory to improve her singles record to 2-1 on the season. Natassja Westover collected her first singles win of the year and the Violets' second point of the match with an 8-4 victory at the number six singles.

NYU put up a fight in doubles, taking two matches down to the wire, but finished the day 0-3.

Head Coach Horace Choy said, "coming out 0-3 after doubles really set the tone. It was hard for the girls to come back from that."
