The New York University women's tennis team lost 9-0 to Emory University at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship on Friday, April 25. The championship is being held at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, FL, from Friday, April 25, through Sunday, April 27.

The Violets (1-7) had a tough matchup against the nationally-ranked #2 Eagles (20-2).

"Emory is a very strong team," said Head Coach Horace Choy. "The girls got out of their comfort zone early and tried to do a little bit too much. The match snowballed from there."

NYU will face #5-seed Brandeis University (10-10) in the first round of the consolation bracket on Saturday, April 26. First serve is scheduled for 2:00pm.
