Men's Tennis Beats Drew University in First Match of Spring Season

Violets Post 9-0 Shutout over Rangers

Steven Wu won 6-0, 6-0.


The New York University men's tennis team defeated Drew University 9-0 on Thursday, February 27, in a home match at the Stadium Tennis Center in the Bronx, NY.

NYU dominated the dual match across the board, led by another exceptional performance from the squad's #1 singles player, senior captain Steven Wu.

 "Strong singles play from Wu trickled down to the rest of the team," said Head Coach Horace Choy.

Wu is currently ranked #5 in the Northeast Region and #24 nationally. 

All three Violets' doubles pairs won their matches effieciently, losing just four games in total.  

 "It was a great first win of the season," Choy said.
