The New York University women's basketball team –
currently ranked #9 in the latest D3Hoops.com poll and #10 in USA Today Sports Division III Top 25 poll – is gearing up to host the 2015 NYU Holiday Classic on Saturday and Sunday, January 3-4, at the Jerome S. Coles Sports Center in Manhattan.
The Violets, who enter the Classic with a perfect 8-0 record, face Swarthmore College (3-5) in the first round on Saturday at 5 pm.
Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham and William Smith College tip-off at 7 pm to conclude Saturday's doubleheader. FDU-Florham, the 2014 NCAA Division III Champions, is ranked #1 in both Top 25 polls and is 10-0 so far this season, while William Smith comes into the Classic with a 1-5 mark.
Concluding the Classic on Sunday, NYU will open the doubleheader against William Smith at 4 pm, followed by FDU-Florham and Swarthmore at 6 pm.
