#7 Brandeis 1 NYU 0The New York University men's soccer team was defeated by #7 Brandeis University 1-0 on Senior Day on Saturday, November 8, at Gaelic Park in Riverdale, NY.
The Violets (11-6, 2-5 University Athletic Association) played the Judges (17-2, 5-2) tight throughout the contest, as the teams finished with an 8-7 shots-on-goal total in favor of Brandeis.
Prior to the beginning of the match, NYU honored its two graduating seniors,
Mickey Ingerman and
Justin Suter, during the Family/Senior Day ceremonies.
Once the game began,
Lucas Doucette kept the Violets in the contest. The sophomore keeper recorded seven saves.
HIGHLIGHTS:-
Petter Aasa and
Zane Van De Put led the Violets with two shots on net.
- Nick Notaro,
Bryan Walsh and
Tommy Walters also each landed one shot on goal.
