Violets Drop to 2-4 in UAA Play

The New York University men's soccer team suffered a 2-0 loss to Washington University-St. Louis on Sunday, November 2, in St. Louis, MO.

The Violets (11-5-0, 2-4-0 University Athletic Association) and Bears (8-6-2, 1-4-1 UAA) each attempted 10 total shots, but Washington was able to land four on net, while NYU was unable to test the Bears' keepers.

HIGHLIGHTS:

- Lucas Doucette recorded two saves in 90 minutes for the Violets.

- Petter Aasa and Reece Barton each notched a game-high-tying three total shots.

- Jonathan Lipsey scored both goals for the Bears, his third and fourth of the season.

The Violets will return to the pitch when they host Brandeis University on Senior Day for their final regular-season contest of the year. NYU and the Judges will square off at Gaelic Park in Riverdale, NY, on Saturday, September 8, with kickoff scheduled for 11:00 am. Live stats and live video will be available.
