The New York University men's soccer team fell 1-0 in a double-overtime contest at Farmingdale State College on Saturday, September 28, in Farmingdale, NY.

Farmingdale's Alexis Escobar scored the only goal of the afternoon, connecting on a breakaway at the 1:02.53 mark

The Violets took 11 shots to the Rams' six, but were unable to get one past the Farmingdale keeper. The game was NYU's second consecutive double-overtime contest.

HIGHLIGHTS:

- Forrest Sexton allowed one goal in just under 103 minutes of time in net.

- Ian Cassell led NYU with three shots.

- Both NYU and Farmingdale were issued one yellow card.

NYU will be back on the field on Saturday, October 5, when it travels to Rochester, NY, for its University Athletic Association (UAA) season-opener at the University of Rochester.
