- NYU extended that lead to 2-0 at the 21:00 mark when Tim Goldman notched his second goal of the season off of a Colm Dillane free kick.

- The Violets would take that 2-0 lead to halftime, with their third and final goal coming from Dillane, who scored his second goal on the year in the 49th minute off a rebound from a blocked Petter Aasa shot.

- Niko Cantor made his first collegiate start in goal and played all 90 minutes, recording three saves and allowing one goal, which came on a long shot from CCNY's Nicolas Corrao and deflected off the Violet defense.

"Nimo's goal was very creative and got us started on the right foot," said Head Coach Joe Behan. "We also got great play from our bench and played good defense the rest of the way."

NYU returns to the field on Saturday, September 14, when the Violets travel to Hoboken, NJ, to face Stevens Institute of Technology at 7:00 pm.
