The New York University men's soccer team fell to Emory University 2-0 in a University Athletic Association (UAA) matchup on Friday, October 18, at the Woodruff P.E. Center in Atlanta, GA. The game was the first to finish in regulation for the Violets in their last three contests.
NYU (6-4-3, 0-2-1 UAA) was outshot by the Eagles (9-3-1, 2-0-1) 18-7, but freshman keeper Lucas Doucette and junior keeper
Forrest Sexton combined for five saves.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Freshman forward Bryan Walsh spearheaded the Violet attack for the second straight match, landing a team-high two shots on goal.
- Midfielders junior Tim Goldman and freshman Peter Aasa also attepted two shots each, with one of Goldman's landing on goal.
- Emory was led by Dylan Price, who took five shots (three on goal) and scored one of the Eagles' two on the evening.
NYU will complete its first UAA road weekend of the season when it travels to Pittsburgh, PA, on Sunday, October 20, for a meeting with Carnegie Mellon University. Kickoff is scheduled for 11:00 AM with
