Kyle Green and
Paolo Luciano combined for three goals and three assists to lead the 17th-ranked New York University men's soccer team a 4-0 victory at Baruch College on Saturday, September 15, at the Metropolitan Oval in Maspeth, NY.
The Violets scored all four goals against the Bearcats (0-4-1) in the first half to improve to 6-0 on the season. For the game, NYU held a 23-9 advantage in shots.

- Luciano opened the scoring in the 20th minute, dribbling toward goal and avoiding the charging keeper to make it 1-0.
- Though
Niki Chow struck the post on a penalty kick in the 32nd minute, NYU made it 2-0 just a minute later, as Green collected a through ball from
Chris Ramirez and found the back of the net.
- The Violets added two goals in a 46-second span in the 38th minute to reach the final margin. At 37:00, Green and Luciano set up
Mickey Ingerman after a scramble in front. Fourty-six seconds later, Green knocked in a cross from Luciano.

Jonas Poster and
Forrest Sexton combined for five saves in recording the shutout, the Violets' third straight and fourth of the year. NYU has not allowed a goal in its last 287:42.
- With his two-goal, one-assist performance, Green moved up in the Violet record books. He now ranks fifth in school history in career points (59), goals (24) and assists (11).
“The team played very well – once again it was a squad performance,” said NYU Head Coach
Joe Behan. “We pounced and got some quick goals, and that's now three shutouts in a row. That's a good feeling.”
The #17 Violets return to action on Wednesday, September 19, for a home tilt against the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 pm at Gaelic Park.
