The New York University men's tennis team defeated Ithaca College 9-0, on Saturday, April 21, in Ithaca, NY.
 
It was the Violets' third win in a row and their eighth victory of the season, improving their season record to 8-5.
 
NYU took a 3-0 lead by sweeping the doubles slate against Ithaca. Ting Yee Lai and William Smithline won 8-3 at #1, Steven Wu and Daniel Kil dominated 8-0 at #2, and Bowen Xu and CJ Leong cruised 8-4 in the third slot.
 
In singles action, Steven Wu won 6-2, 6-1 at #1, while Leong posted a 6-3, 6-3 victory at second singles. At #3, Tim Wu notched a 6-3, 7-5 win, while Lai scored a 6-3, 6-4 victory at #4. Smithline dominated for a 6-2, 6-1 victory at #5, and Karamveer Dhillon took his #6 singles match 6-1, 6-1.

"I think we played well from start to finish," said NYU head coach Horace Choy. "Everybody was on point today, and that gives us confidence heading into the end of the season."
 
The Violets are back in action on Tuesday, April 24, at home against U.S. Coast Guard Academy at 3:00 pm.
