The New York University men's tennis team is set to begin its spring season against Drew University on Thursday, March 1, in Madison, NJ.

Horace Choy and the squad return to the court for the first time since they competed on September 30 at the USTA/ITA Northeast Regional Tennis Championship.
The Violets competed in only individual events during the Fall 2011 season. These were highlighted by
Harveer Bhalla reaching the semifinals of that USTA/ITA Northeast Regional Championship.
The team is looking for another winning dual-match season after last year posting a 6-4 record in 2010-2011 and finishing the season ranked #19 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Men's Division III Northeast Regional Poll.
Last season saw many individual stand out performances from returning players. Newcomer
Daniel Penaranda contributed immediately, finishing with an 11-1 singles record.
Connor Witty went 9-3 in the #1 singles slot while versatile
Steven Wu went 8-3 while seeing action at first, second, third, and fifth singles.
The Violets begin competion with the opening match starting at 4:00pm.
