Women's Tennis to Face Three Regionally Ranked Squads in Three Days

NYU Prepares for Weekend Action Versus TCNJ, Brandeis and William Smith

Sara Joo and the Violets are in search of their first win of the season.
In easily its most grueling stretch of the season, the New York University women's tennis squad will face three teams featured in the most recent ITA Division III Northeast Regional Poll.

On Friday at 1:00 pm, the Violets (0-3) travel to The College of New Jersey (7-1), the sixth-ranked team in the region and #17 in the national poll.

NYU hosts Brandeis University at 10:00 am at the Stadium Tennis Center at Mill Pond. Brandeis (7-3) is ranked #10 regionally and #30 nationally.

The weekend's action concludes on Sunday at 11:00 am. The Violets host William Smith College (6-1), ranked #14 in the Northeast, as part of their annual Family Day festivities.

NYU head coach Horace Choy will look to senior co-captains Sara Joo and Lisa Mijovic to help orchestrate upset victories. Mijovic, senior Liz Feldman and sophomore Ariel Sultan have led all Violets with four singles victories this season. Sultan and senior Elizabeth Stachtiaris have also combined to post a 6-7 doubles record in 2010-11.

Results of this weekend's action will be available on goNYUathletics.com.
