On Saturday, February 26, the New York University women's tennis squad dropped a 9-0 match to Skidmore College, the #19-ranked team in the latest ITA Division III National Poll.

The Violets (0-2) fell into an early 3-0 hole with losses in all of its doubles matches. Seniors Liz Feldman and Lisa Mijovic narrowly missed a victory in the #2 slot, losing 9-7. Fellow senior Sara Joo and freshman Ramya Pokala also lost 9-7 at #3 doubles.

Despite its best efforts to close the gap, NYU dropped all six of its singles matches.

With this match now behind them, the Violets will turn their attention to its March 5 contest against Massachusetts Institute of Technology
