On Friday, March 26, the New York University women's tennis team overpowered host Haverford College, cruising to a 9-0 victory in Haverford, PA.

After dropping their first three matches this season, the Violets have won three of their past four to improve to 3-4.

Alexa Wimes, Elizabeth Stachtiaris, Flora Lee, Lena Krups, and Ariel Sultan all posted victories in singles and doubles matches on Friday.

Wimes recorded victories at #1 singles and #1 doubles, while Lee blanked here opponent 6-0, 6-0 at #3 singles.

"We got off to a good start by sweeping doubles," said NYU head coach Horace Choy. "We kept up the strong play after that. I'm happy with the effort and I look forward to continuing the success at our only home match of the season this Sunday."

The Violets return to action on Sunday, March 28, when the team hosts Wilkes University at the National Tennis Center in Flushing, NY. Sunday is also Family Day for both the men's and women's squads.
