The New York University women's tennis team defeated Haverford College 7-2 on Sunday afternoon at the USTA National Tennis Center in Flushing, NY.

In their final tune-up before the University Athletic Association Championships, the Violets took two of the three doubles matches and all but one singles match to overcome the Fords.  Amanda Freedman paired with Lisa Mijovic to triumph at #2 doubles, while Elizabeth Feldman and Lena-Sophie Krups teamed together to defeat their opponents at #3 doubles.

All four also secured victories in their singles matches with Feldman rallying from a 6-1 first-set loss to win at #2 singles.  Senior Jennifer Gottlieb notched another point for NYU with her three-set victory at #6 singles.

The Violets improved their record to 4-9, while Haverford dropped to an even 7-7.

NYU travels to Waltham, MA, at the end of the week to begin UAA play.  The tournament begins on Friday, April 24 and runs through April 26.
