On Saturday afternoon, the New York University women's tennis team fell 7-2 to The College of New Jersey in Ewing, NJ.
Unable to garner a victory in the doubles portion of the match, the Violets secured two wins in singles competition. Sophomore Elizabeth Feldman defeated her opponent in straight sets 6-4, 6-3, bringing her singles record to 7-1. At #6 singles, Lena-Sophie Krups notched NYU's second point by winning two tie-breaker sets 7-6 (7-4), 7-5 (10-6).
The Violets (3-9) return to action Sunday for their final match before beginning the University Athletic Association Championships. NYU hosts Haverford College at 12:00 p.m. at the USTA National Tennis Center.
