NYU led University Athletic Association (UAA) rivals Rochester 72-52 and Case Western 85-31 after the first day of the invitational. The Violets continued with a strong performance on Saturday.

“I thought today was a great overall effort,” said NYU head coach Lauren Beam. “I'm pleased with our results. But, more importantly, I think we got a good look at our UAA competition.”

Sophomore Kelly Dietz capped her weekend with a first-place score of 247.85 in the one-meter dive. She also won Friday's three-meter dive with a score of 233.32. Junior Amanda Moffa finished third in the one-meter dive with 201.10 points.

Diving coach Scott Donie was impressed with both the men's and women's diving squads.

“Everybody looked great,” said Donie. “We still have some work to do, but we're headed back home to get it done.”

The Violets return to the pool on Saturday, Nov. 7, when they host Rowan University.
