The women's tennis team was back in action Saturday morning, taking on Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY. The Violets fell to the Brewers, 9-0.

NYU's top two singles players, Liz Stachtiaris and Liz Feldman, had been playing very well recently but both were defeated by their respective opponents. Stachtiaris fell to Nicole Pontee, 6-0, 6-2, while Feldman lost to Jennifer Beckerman, 6-2, 6-0.

In doubles, NYU's tandem of Feldman and Lena Krups was competitive, but ultimately fell to Beckerman and Nicole Block, 8-6.

The Violets will return to the courts on October 16 when they take part in the New York State Championship in Ithaca, NY.
