New York University's men's soccer team will begin its quest for a third consecutive NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship appearance when it hosts Metropolitan Regional rival Kean University on Wednesday night at New Jersey Institute of Technology's Lubetkin Field in Newark, NJ.

Game time is set for 7 p.m.  Live stats will be provided through the NYU Department of Sports Information.

Picked to tie for third in the University Athletic Association (UAA) preseason poll, NYU (13-5-1, 4-3 UAA) returns seven starters from last season, including Second Team All-UAA performers and senior co-captains Branden Neal (6-7-19) and Devin Freeman-Roche (0-2-2).  Senior forward Adam Dhanens (6-7-20) was an Honorable Mention All-UAA selection in 2007.

Kean will enter the contest with a record of 0-1-1 after tying Greensboro College (1-1) and bowing to North Carolina Wesleyan College (4-1) last weekend.

NYU owns two straight victories over the Cougars, including a 3-1 triumph at Kean last season.
