The New York University men's soccer team fell in overtime to the University of Chicago by a 2-1 score in a University Athletic Association (UAA) contest on Sunday, Oct. 19, in the Windy City.

The Violets (5-6-3, 0-4 UAA) maintained their 1-0 advantage until the 87:22 mark of the second half when Chicago's Andy Dallos scorched a shot from point blank off an Alex Clifford cross, sending the match into overtime.
Playing in their second straight overtime affair, the Violets were unable to score before Kenzo Manners knocked home a goal at 98:04, giving Chicago (5-6-3, 1-2-1 UAA) the 2-1 victory.
Junior
Marek Urbanski (4-6-3) made eight saves on the day for the Violets, while Chris Giusto made only two for the Maroons. Overall, Chicago took 17 more shots than NYU (27-10) and owned a 6-4 edge in corner kicks.
The Violets return to action this Wednesday, Oct. 22, when they face Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ, at 7:00 pm.
