Lauren Ditscheit is in her first season as an assistant coach with the New York University women’s volleyball team.
Ditscheit joined the coaching staff at NYU after a successful four-year playing career as a setter at Division I Loyola University in Chicago. A team captain with the Ramblers, she was named a top-three finalist for the 2009-10 Honda Inspiration Award and was the school’s nominee for the 2010 NCAA Woman of the Year Award. As a senior, the Loyola athletic department and training staff presented her with the Chicago Virtues Award, given to the student-athlete who overcame adversity and strived to succeed in athletics and academics.
Ditscheit also won several academic awards while at Loyola, including being named an Army Scholar Athlete and a CoSIDA/ESPN Academic All-District selection.
A May 2010 graduate of Loyola with a Bachelor of Arts degrees in advertising and public relations, Ditscheit is currently a graduate trainee on the account/research team at the Chandler Chicco Agency in New York.
A native of Wauwatosa, WI, Ditscheit currently resides in Manhattan.
