#8 Fencing Places 13th at NCAA Championship

Violets Finish Best of Any Division III Program



Coming in at #8 in the #NYUAthleticsTop10 is the performance of the New York University fencing team at the NCAA Championship, which was held March 24-27 at Brandeis University in Waltham, MA.

Five fencers represented NYU in Waltham, freshmen Mickey Bak and Grant Williams, along with sophomores Daniel Sconzo, Hans Engel and Philip Shin. The quintet combined for 44 victories at the meet and placed 13th out of 44 teams.

The Violets were the highest-finishing Division III team in the nation.
