Justina Sanders-Schifano at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championship on Saturday, May 28, in Waverly, IA.
After qualifying for the 4x400m finals the previous day with a NYU record time of 3:45.63, the quartet finished fifth in the nation with a time of 3:46.15 in the finals, earning All-America accolades for their performance.
The squad's fifth-place performance was the best-ever finish in any event at the NCAA Championships for the NYU women's track program. The foursome earned four team points for the Violets, who finished tied for 58
th among the 84 teams in Iowa.
