Jazmin Contreras joined New York University as a Varsity Performance Graduate Assistant in August 2025 with an extensive background in performance analysis, athlete development, and strength and conditioning.
Contreras has worked closely with Division I coaches and athletes at multiple programs, including a fellowship and an internship at the University of Pittsburgh and Stanford University. She has leveraged performance technologies to understand athletic performance, transforming the data into informed training strategies.
Contreras began her collegiate career playing softball at the University of Oregon. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from San Francisco State University, and is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Data Science at NYU. She holds certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
A native of San Ramon, CA, Contreras resides in Brooklyn, NY.
