Patrick Glory was hired as a Volunteer Assistant Coach of New York University’s wrestling team in October 2023. He works primarily with the first five weight classes.
In his first season, NYU achieved its best-ever team finish at the NCAA Championships (11th) and won the University Athletic Association (UAA)UAA title. Cooper Pontelandolfo (157) and Jason Geyer (174) were both All-Americans as Pontelandolfo finished third for his third All-America honor in as many seasons while Geyer placed fourth. Trent Furman also qualified for the NCAA’s at 184 pounds.
At the UAA Championship, Pontelandolfo (157) was named Most Outstanding Wrestler as he, Benny Bautista (125), Jacob Venezia (133), Anthony Chavez (149), Geyer (174), Furman (184), and Evan Anderson (285) won Association titles. The Violets also posted their 12th-straight winning season with a 10-3 record in dual matches, and added team titles at both the Racich Rumble and Ned McGinley Invitational.
A 2023 graduate of Princeton University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and an Undergraduate Certificate in Finance, Glory was a four-year member of the Tigers’ wrestling team. As a senior, he was the NCAA Champion at 125 pounds and posted an undefeated season (25-0).
Glory earned All-America honors in each of his four seasons at Princeton, finishing as National Runner-up in 2022, sixth as a freshman, and as the #2 seed heading into the NCAA Championships as a sophomore. The event was canceled, however, due to Covid-19, but Glory still received First Team All-America honors.
Producing a career 99-9 record, Glory was named Ivy League Wrestler of the Year as a sophomore and was a three-time First-Team All-Ivy League honoree.
Glory also competed for Team USA at the U23 World Championships in Belgrade, Serbia, in 2022 after qualifying by winning the 2021 U23 national title.
Prior to joining NYU, Glory has held positions in the financial world at Citigroup, Pentaurus Properties, LLC, and Morgan Stanley.
A native of Randolph, NJ, Glory resides in Manhattan.
