The New York University men's golf team placed fifth out of seven teams at the FSC Bethpage Black Invitational, held at the Bethpage Black Course, in Bethpage, New York, on Thursday, April 16th.
The Violets posted a team score of +32, finishing behind Adelphi (+20), Farmingdale State (+23), Hamilton (+27), and Skidmore (+30). NYU finished ahead of Bowdoin (+34) and Rensselaer (+37) in the seven-team field.
Tanmay Chandra led the way for NYU, carding a 76 (+5) to finish tied for fifth in the 40-player field. George Zhou followed with a 77 (+6), placing tied for 11th.
Qi (Steven) Liu posted an 81 (+10), while Oscar Uribe added an 82 (+11). Kai Nam Ryan Leung rounded out the Violets' scoring with an 84 (+13).
The Violets return to action this weekend at the Farmingdale Invitational, set for April 18–19th at Bethpage State Park in Bethpage, New York.
