The New York University men's golf team finished third out of 17 teams at the RPI Collegiate Invitational on Monday, October 5, at Shaker Ridge Country Club in Albany, NY.
NYU completed the one-round tournament with a team score of 317 (+33). Skidmore won the team title at 309 (+25), while host RPI finished second at 310 (+26). The Violets finished one stroke ahead of Farmingdale State and St. Lawrence, which tied for fourth at 318 (+34).
Qi (Steven) Liu led NYU individually, tying for second in the 96-player field with a four-over-par 75. Liu finished one stroke behind the individual champion.
Tanmay Chandra also recorded a top-10 finish, tying for eighth with a six-over-par 77.
Jomyuth Luangtana-anan tied for 36th at 82 (+11), while
Bo Dong tied for 48th at 83 (+12).
Bryan Zhao, competing as an individual, also tied for 48th with an 83 (+12).
Ryan Zhao tied for 55th after carding an 84 (+13).
The Violets return to action at the Skidmore College Invitational on Saturday-Sunday, October 10-11, at Saratoga Spa Golf Course in Saratoga Springs, NY.
