The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has announced New York University Cross Country Head Coach Tyler Deck Shipley as its 2025 NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year. 

The award comes after Deck Shipley and the women's team won the DIII National Championship on Saturday, November 22, in Spartanburg, SC. It was the team's first in program history. 

Additionally, the Violets captured their second University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship in three years and placed first in the Niagra Regional Championship. 

NYU's women's team has seen continued success under the leadership of Deck Shipley, registering three consecutive podium finishes over the past three years. Prior to this season, the Violets had finished as high as the national runner-up in the 2023 season.
