The New York University men's tennis team was defeated by Fordham University 6-1 on Sunday, April 21, in the Bronx, NY.
NYU lost the first two doubles matches, with
Boren Zheng and
Alexander Lee claiming victory at #1 7-6(3). Due to Division I rules, a single point is awarded to the team that has won two out of the three doubles matchups, as Fordham took the lead 1-0.
Heading into the singles round, the Violets lone winner was
Jingyuan Chen, who claimed victory over his #2 opponent 3-6, 6-4, 10-5.
The squad will return to the courts at the UAA Championship on Thursday, April 25, in Altamonte Springs, FL.
