Track & Field Posts Multiple Top-10 UAA Times at NYC D3 Invite

Violets Continue Season at BU Next Week

The indoor season is rolling along for New York University's Men's and Women's Track & Field Teams, as the Violets competed at the NYC Division III Invitational on Friday, February 4 at the Armory in Manhattan.

There were plenty of standouts for NYU, as Ezri Scott won the women's high jump and Ryan Tobin took first in the men's mile run while multiple Violets climbed into the top-10 of the University Athletic Association's (UAA) performance list in their respective events.

Women's Highlights
  • Scott's 1.55-meter result in the women's high jump took first place and ranks fifth in the UAA this season.
  • Summer Reid continued her strong rookie season, finishing third in the 60-meter dash and fifth in the 200-meter (26.92). Her 8.04-second finish in the 60-meter is tied for 10th in the UAA.
  • Nathalie Shoji's 3.04-meter result in the pole vault ranks ninth in the UAA this year.
  • Isre'al Conerly placed fourth in the 400-meter (1:00.14) while Fiona Kelleher notched a fourth-place finish as well in the 800-meter (2:24.03).
  • Katherine Cheng was right behind Kelleher, placing sixth in the 800-meter with a time of 2:24.31
  • Gabrielle Stankosh posted a season-best time in the mile run (5:31.67).
  • Michelle Uvieghara (10.18m) and Kiera Gainer (9.13m) notched personal-bests in the shot put.
Men's Highlights
  • Tobin won the mile run with a time of 4:20.77 which currently ranks eighth in the UAA.
  • Kamden Martin placed sixth in the 60-meter dash and his 7.11-second finish is eighth in the Association while Brian Kaiserman matched his personal best in the dash (7.28).
  • Zion Glover ran a PR in the 200-meter, placing ninth as he finished in 23.64 seconds.
  • Jon Diaz shined in the 800-meter, finishing fifth and working into the UAA's top-10 (ninth) with his 1:57.73 result.
  • Owen Mountford (13.67m) and Michael Mangual (13.35m) posted the sixth- and seventh-best shot put throws in the UAA this season.
  • Mountford also climbed to eighth in the Association in the weight throw (13.84m).

The Violets return to Boston University for the Valentine Invitational on Friday and Saturday, February 11-12.
