The New York University men's basketball team dropped its 2019-20 home finale, 82-62, to Washington University in St. Louis, on Sunday, February 23, at the Sportsplex in Manhattan.
The Violets (8-16, 1-12) led the University Athletic Association (UAA) contest for most of the first half, gaining a game-high nine-point advantage following
Ethan Feldman's (New York, NY/The Salisbury School) jumper with 13:26 remaining.
The Bears (20-4, 11-2) took their first lead, 32-31, with 2:43 left in the half and the teams went off the court deadlocked at 36-36.
The second half was not as competitive, as Wash. U scored the first seven points and never relinquished the lead.
Feldman, and fellow senior

Nick Macarchuk (Alamo, CA/St. Thomas Moore Prep) led all Violets with 12 points and grabbed three boards.
Washington's DeVaughn Rucker led all scorers with 20 points.
"Ethan and Jimmy are great young men who you want your sons to grow up to be," said Head Coach
Dagan Nelson. "Incredibly high character and respectful."
The Violets return to the court for the final game of the season on Saturday, February 29, when they travel to Brandeis University in Waltham, MA. Tip-off is set for 3:00pm.
