The 2011-12 Tear It Up! schedule continues on Friday, January 27, for the basketball teams' doubleheader against University Athletic Association (UAA) rival Carnegie Mellon University.
 
The Tear It Up! event starts at 5:45 pm at the Jerome S. Coles Sports Center. The women's basketball contest against the Tartans tips off at 6:00 pm, while the men's squads will then face off at 8:00 pm.
 
The Violet women (9-7, 1-4) will be looking to get back in the race for the UAA, while the NYU men (14-1, 4-1), ranked #17 in the nation by D3hoops.com, will be looking to remain atop the UAA standings in their quest for their first Association Championship since 1993-94.
 
All NYU students in attendance will receive free food and t-shirts. Students should arrive early to take part in all of the festivities.
