An 11-3 surge to start the second half put the Violets ahead 55-37 with 16:08 remaining, and featured four points apiece from Mish and Polan, as well as a three-pointer by Omar Meziab off a nifty no-look pass from D.J. Glavan.

Hunter pulled within nine on two occasions, but could never climb closer.

NYU will play only University Athletic Association (UAA) games to cap its regular season, and has 11 UAA contests remaining.  Next up for the Violets is an 8 p.m. game Friday, Jan. 23, at Emory University.
