New York University's baseball team (8-11, 2-6) defeated the Vassar College Brewers (7-14, 3-6) 10-0 on Wednesday, April 8, at the Prentiss Baseball Field in Poughkeepsie, NY.
Harrison Blueweiss scored the opening run of the day in the top of the first inning. In the bottom half of the frame, despite a leadoff triple from Vassar, the Violets defense held strong to hold a 1-0 lead after one.
To start the top of the second, the Brewers walked four consecutive batters which started a seven-run inning for the Violets.
Matt Dahl's three run triple capped off the Violets' scoring in the frame.
To add onto the early lead,
Max Oliviera hit an RBI triple in the top of the fifth and scored later in the inning to give NYU a dominant 10-0 advantage.
The game finished after seven innings as NYU picked up another run-rule win.
NYU's pitching staff was spectacular on the day, posting its first shutout of the season.

Dhruv Vengurlekar were all successful on the mound to help the Violets get their eighth win of the season.
