New York University senior Josephine Dziedzic was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) women's cross country Athlete of the Week on November 2 after securing the UAA individual championship.

Dziedzic led the Violets to their second straight team UAA Championship on October 31 at the St. James Farm Forest Preserve in Warrenville, IL. The championship meet was hosted by the University of Chicago.

Her time of 20:36.5 is a new NYU program record and led the field by 5.1 seconds.

The UAA weekly honor is her first this season and second of her NYU career.

Dziedzic and the Violets now move to the NCAA Niagara Region Championship, hosted by Houghton University, on November 14 in Western New York.
