Women's Tennis Falls in UAA Consolation Semifinals

Violets Swept by Judges

The New York University women's tennis team continued play in the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship  against Brandeis University on Friday, April 25, in Altamonte Springs, FL.

The Violets were swept by the Judges, 4-0.

Isabella Hartman and Sionna Vallabhaneni played a hard- fought match at No. 1 doubles but ultimately fell 6-4. The result was followed by a loss at No. 3 doubles, which clinched the point for Brandeis.

In singles, Victoria Wang retired from her match at No. 3 singles. Hartman and Norah Staunton were both beaten in straight sets at No. 2 and No. 5 singles, respectively.

NYU will play its final contest of the tournament tomorrow in the seventh-place match-up against the University of Rochester. The tilt is scheduled for 8:30am.
