The New York University women's tennis team delivered a dominant performance in the seventh-place match of the Universirt Athletic Association (UAA) Championship, defeating the University of Rochester 4-0 on Saturday, April 26, at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, FL.
The Violets jumped ahead early by capturing the doubles point. Jimena Menendez and Emma Kast earned a 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles, while Isabella Hartman and Siona Vallabhaneni also posted a 6-3 victory at No. 1 to clinch the point.
The No. 3 match was left unfinished as soon as NYU secured the doubles point.
In singles play, NYU quickly closed out the match. Victoria Wang was the first to win, rolling to a 6–1, 6–0 victory at No. 3 singles. Menendez followed with a 6–2, 6–2 win at the top spot, and Aditi Narayan secured the clinching point with a 6–1, 6–2 win at No. 4 singles.
With the 4–0 victory, the Violets finish the dual-match season with an 8-7 record and a seventh-place finish at the UAA Championship.
