The #25 New York University women's soccer team hit the road on Saturday, October 18, for their sixth and most difficult top-25 match of the season. The Violets traveled to Atlanta to face #1 Emory University in a University Athletioc Association (UAA) match-up. .
The #1-ranked Eagles remained unbeaten (12-0-1) on the season with a 4-0 victory.
Emory's Sophia Asiain opened the scoring in the match, netting a pair of goals in the opening 12:05. The hosts held a 3-0 halftime lead thanks to a final goal of the first 45 minutes by Zia Tomlin.

Mia Capo finished the half with five saves. Despite a trio of shots on target in the final frame, the Violets were unable to find the back of the net.
With the match in hand, Emory's Kaitlyn Nimmer capped the day with the team's fourth goal in the 87th minute.
Julia Spang led the Violets with a pair of shots on goal.
Capo finished with 10 saves.
The Violets return home to face UAA foes Carnegie Mellon and Case Western Reserve on Friday, October. 24, and Sunday, October 26, respectively.
