Karleigh Kluever pitched a four-hit shutout and the New York University softball team won its second game on Saturday, March 16, defeating King's College 8-0 in Salisbury, MD.
The Violets (2-2) lost to the University of Lynchburg 4-1 earlier in the day.
Kluever was masterful, striking out four and not issuing a walk.
She was supported offensively by
Lindsey Baron, who had three hits and scored three runs,
Alyssa Quary, who had two hits and drove in four runs, and
Madi Hand, who homered and drove in a pair.
The Violets return to action on Sunday when they face SUNY New Paltz at 11:00am and host Salisbury University at 3:30pm.
