The
#22-ranked New York University men's basketball team traveled to Union, NJ, to face Kean University for its first road game of the season on Saturday, November 16, and the Violets came away with a 76-58 victory.
With the win, the Violets stay undefeated at 3-0.
It was a relatively back and forth affair in the first half, but the Violets' late 5-0 run gave them a 34-27 lead at halftime.
NYU came out of the locker room and immediately went on a 10-1 streak to continue the momentum and go on to the 18-point victory.
The Violets produced four double-digit scorers in the game.
Tristan How led the squad with 19 points.
Zay Freeney notched 13 points, five rebounds and four steals.
Emmanuel Onuama was a rebound shy of a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds, while
Jack Stone added 10 points.
Hampton Sanders led the Violets with five assists.
The Violets are back in action next Saturday, November 23, when they travel to Jamaica, Queens, to compete against the York College Cardinals at 12:00pm.
