The New York University women's soccer team's unbeaten season came to a halt via a 3-0 loss to #1-ranked Washington University in St. Louis on Saturday, October 19, in St. Louis, MO.

#17-ranked Violets and the Bears were tied 0-0 at halftime, but the hosts scored two within a matter of seconds early in the second half to take a lead they would not relinquish.
Wash U's Olivia Clemons was responsible for both goals, connecting first at 53:50 and then again seconds later at 54:04.
The score remained the same until 72:13 when Grace Ehlert tallied the final goal on an assist from Ella Koleno.
The Violets were out-shot 11-4 overall and 8-2 on goal.
Riley Felsher complied five saves in net for the Violets, while the Bears' Sidney Conner made two in recording the shutout.
The Violets return to action for another University Athletic Association (UAA) contest when they host the University of Rochester on Friday, October 25, at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, NJ. Kickoff is set fro 5:30pm.
