With the game tied 6-6 entering the bottom of the seventh, NYU's bats caught fire and plated seven runs in the frame to take control.
Kosta Mocklis delivered a two-run single to open the scoring, then VanLandingham drove in a run with a base hit to put the Violets up by three. The highlight of the frame was Conklin's triple with the bases loaded to drive in three more and give NYU a sizable advantage.
Dunn, Pallotta, VanLandingham and
Richard Beggy also each had a double in the victory as the Violets compiled 15 hits in the contest.
Against Brockport, NYU trailed 5-0 after five full innings. The Violets tacked on single runs in each of the last four frames, but gave up four more during that span and couldn't come back.
Beggy and Dunn both had a double and two hits in the loss with Mocklis adding a two-bagger as well.
The Violets conclude their Florida trip with a doubleheader against Purchase College tomorrow beginning at noon in Tampa.
