The New York University Softball Team played three games on Wednesday in Clermont, FL, and were defeated in all three.
After Wednesday's games were washed out, a third game was added on Thursday.
The Violets lost to previously-scheduled opponents Stockton University (15-4) and Salve Regina University (5-2) in the afternoon, then dropped an 8-0 decision to Carthage College (8-0) in the evening.
In game one, the Violets took a 3-0 lead in the first inning, but a five-run third inning by the Ospreys put them ahead for good.
Emily Stone pitched a complete game for the Violets against Salve Regina, but the Violet offense only mustered two runs.
Maggie Swan also recorded a complete game for NYU in the day's finale, but the Violets only managed two hits.
The squad returns to the field on Friday for games against Rowan University (3:45pm) and Edgewood College (6:00pm).
