The Violets' only other run came in the bottom of the seventh inning on a solo home run by
Ashley Mains.
Karissa Zubulake went the first five innings for NYU, allowing all seven runs.
Cassi Parulis pitched the final two innings and gave up the final run.

Diana King.
Scarlett Murphy suffered the loss in five innings of work, while
Maggie Swan pitched one inning of scoreless relief.
Eliza Sweet threw the complete-game shutout for TCNJ.
"We had our opportunities today, but we didn't capitalize on them," said NYU Head Coach
Now-Allah James. "They're a good team and you can't let those opportunities go by."
The Violets will play a split doubleheader on Monday, March 18. NYU faces Oswego State at 11:00am and Messiah College at 1:15pm. Both games are scheduled to be played in Plant City, FL.
