The New York University women's soccer team saw its nine-game unbeaten streak come to an end at the hands of host Washington University in St. Louis in University Athletic Association (UAA) action on Sunday, October 28, in St. Louis.
WashU, which entered the game ranked #1 in the nation by the United Soccer Coaches, scored a pair of second half goals to win 2-0 and clinch its fourth-straight UAA title and sixth in the last seven years.

Meghan Marhan for her fourth goal of the season.
Later in the second half, Caroline Dempsey scored an unassisted goal to double the Bears' lead and make the final result 2-0.
Marhan made seven saves in the loss as the Bears outshot the Violets 19-1.
