The New York University women's soccer team earned a scoreless draw in University Athletic Association (UAA) play against host and 15th-ranked Washington University - St. Louis, on Friday evening, October 14, in St. Louis, MO.
NYU (7-2-3, 0-1-1 UAA) has allowed just one goal against in three UAA games. WashU's record now stands at 9-2-2 overall, and 1-1-1 in UAA action.
The Bears outshout the Violets 20-13 in a physical game which featured 31 fouls (22 WashU, nine NYU) and two yellow cards, both of which were assessed to the Bears.
Cassie Steinberg recorded seven saves to earn her sixth shutout of the season. Lizzy Crist stopped all six NYU shots on goal to also record her sixth shutout of 2016.

Steph Ho and
Alex Benedict each tallied three shots to lead NYU offensively. The trio also accounted for five of the Violets' six shots on goal.

NYU will be back in action Sunday, when it continues its UAA Midwest road trip at 11th-ranked University of Chicago. Kickoff is scheduled for 11am (central).
