Freshman diver
Austin Campitelli notched her second career win and first-career NCAA-qualifying score with a 267.5 total in the three-meter dive.
"Today was a great day for the divers," said Diving Coach
Scott Donie. "We're looking forward to getting back to work as we prepare for ECAC's."
The Violets are off to a 6-0 start this season, their best since the 2009-10 season.
Highlights:- Freshman
Isabelle Kitze won the 100-yard backstroke (59.65) and the 100-yard freestyle (54.15).
- Sophomore
Elise Gibbs was part of the winning 200-yard medley relay team and earned an individual victory in the 50-yard freestyle (24.85).
- Freshman
Yui Umezawa swam the first leg of the winning 200-yard medley relay and earned an individual victory in the 200-yard backstroke (2:13.79).- Sophomore co-captain
Michelle Kierencew won the 100-yard backstroke (1:07.71) and finished second in the 200-yard backstroke (2:15.73).
"I am really happy with our results. As we have been doing all year long, we came to TCNJ ready to race, and we put up some solid performances against a good TCNJ team," said Head Coach
Trevor Miele. "We still have a few more weeks of hard practice before we focus on swimming fast at ECAC Championships."
The Violets' next competition will be at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships on Friday-Sunday, December 5-7. The meet will be held in East Meadow, NY, at the Nassau County Aquatics Center.
