The New York University women's tennis team fell 6-3 to The College of New Jersey on Wednesday, April 16, in Ewing, NJ.
With the loss, the Violets fall to 1-6 on the season. The Lions improved to 11-5 with their second straight victory.
Alison Wang won in singles yet again, but could not help the team overcome another 0-3 performance in doubles. Wang has now won her last five singles matches and is 6-1 on the season. She has not dropped a set in singles play since March 19 against then-#9 Brandeis University. Wang is coming off her second straight Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC)
weekly honor.
"We struggled a little out of the gate in doubles and couldn't quite make a comeback despite some good singles play," said Head Coach
Horace Choy. "I think the girls have played well the last three matches of the season. Going into the UAA's we are close to where we want to be."
